The circus was here, the circus was here!

CIRCUS STORYTIME

Circus storytime was a HUGE hit among the 3-5 year old group today. The children enjoyed stories about the circus, circus animals and learned about circus shapes with the book Circus Shapes by Stuart J. Murphy.

Afternoon Program

We had lots of fun trying out some circus activities such as walking the high wire, jumping through a "hoop of fire" and racing through the the big top tent.

Circus storytime fun!

The children ended the day with an awesome clown craft.  They had so much fun that we hope no one will actually run away to the circus!

Penguin Storytime

Morning Program

Picture Book Storytime (for 3-5 year olds) was all about Penguins this week!  The kids enjoyed penguin themed songs, fingerplays, and many stories, including the pop-up book The Puzzled Penguin by Keith Faulkner.

It was fun to line up to play the game "Feeding fish to the penguin".  Many kids particularly enjoyed wearing penguin masks and waddling like a penguin through the igloo, while listening to the actual sounds that penguins make.  If your child would like to join us, there is still room for more friends in the morning and afternoon sessions!  Check the Inklings newsletter, call us, or visit the Children's Desk for more information regarding registration.
