WINTER READING CLUB

December 9 - January 30

Warm up this winter with a new twist on our annual Winter Reading Club!  All you need to do is stop by the Children's Room and pick up a Winter Reading Club tracking bookmark.  On the back of the bookmark, you will record 4 titles of books  you have read.  The bookmark will become your entry form to win one of our cool prize baskets!  Just drop the book mark entry form in the entry box beginning Monday, December 16.

For kids birth - Grade 6.
Enter as often as you can fill in bookmarks!
3 prize baskets will be offered for 3 different age groups. 

The Winter Reading Club ends Thursday, January 30 at 4:00pm when the names of the three winning tickets will be drawn from the entry boxes.  It is not necessary to be present to win.  Happy Reading!

Radical Readers Book Club!
Friday November 29 @ 2:00pm. 


  Register anytime starting  11/7 and  drop by the Children's Room for your copy of the WISHTREE.  (The author, Katherine Applegate, won the Newbery Medal for her book The One and Only Ivan.) We will get together for some bookish fun on November 29, and pick next month's selection!  Light snacks provided.

The Ithaca Physics Bus returns!
 Wednesday,  July 24  4:00 -7:00 pm
  This retrofitted school bus is a science lab on wheels, complete with stations inside the bus, & plenty of science experiments to enjoy outside the bus!  All ages. 
No need to register in advance but PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO REMAIN WITH THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES.  Note:  The bus will be parked in the parking lot of the library's temporary location.

SEUSSVILLE...U.S.A.


Read Across America is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place every year on March 2 - Dr. Seuss's birthday.  Across the country, thousands of libraries participate by bringing together kids and books by Dr. Seuss.  Here at the library we will have activity sheets, bookmarks, coloring pages, stickers, and books by the one and only Dr. Seuss.  These materials will be available throughout the month of March.  Stop in and see if you can find a Dr. Seuss book you haven't read yet!  Have some Seussical fun!
