WINTER READING CLUB

Children from birth through Grade 6...  Warm up this winter with our annual Winter Reading Club!  From December 10 - January 31 stop by our temporary location and pick up a Winter Reading Club tracking bookmark.  On the back of the bookmark, write down the title of a book you have finished.  Once you record the names of 4 books, the bookmark becomes your entry form to win one of our cool prize baskets!

Just drop the entry form in the corresponding entry box at the library.  Enter as many times as you like.  The more you read, the greater your chance of winning!  Happy Reading!

Calling all toddlers! Monday December 10 @ 10:00-10:30am.

Welcome winter with some "chilly" stories, songs and a cool snowman craft,  at the Bellmore Presbyterian Church. For two year olds with parent/caregiver.  Registration opens Monday, December 3.

Preschool Winter Storytime Fun 

Wednesday, December 12 @ 1:30-2:15pm 

Join Ms. Michele for a winter-themed story/craft event...stories, songs, games and a perky Penguin craft!  For ages 3-5 years, with parent/caregiver. Registration opens Wednesday, December 5

Art for School kids!  Thursday, December 13 @3:30-4:15pm

Young crafters (Grades K-2) will have fun making paper snowflakes and decorating a simple winter scene.  Crafters in Grades 3 and up may try their hand at making beautiful kirigami snowflakes.  Music, snacks, fun!

The Bellmore Family Street Festival will take place on Saturday, September 22nd.
The  North Bellmore Library  will once again be returning to this great community event. We will have cool giveaways and prizes while supplies last for patrons who show us their library card.  Please come visit us our table and say hello! We can't wait to see you there!

There is no end to the amazing items and activities available with a library card!  To help us kick off Library Card Sign-Up month, we have a special promotion.  Everybody knows The Incredibles are back and even superheroes like to read - so come on down and get your library card this September and receive an Incredibles sticker and bookmark...while supplies last!

2018 SUMMER READING CLUB... LIBRARIES ROCK!

Registration is ongoing!  Children age 3 - Grade 5, pick up your reading chart and get started!  Join us for storytimes, crafts, science programs, music and more!  Stop in at our temporary location for more details.

Due to the renovation work, our roster of children's summer events is curtailed this year, but we are fortunate to have the use of the facilities at the Grace Lutheran School at 1294 Bellmore Avenue for our programs.  Many programs are drop-in, but a few are limited registration.  Thank You!

Little readers (and listeners) who signed up for the 2018 Winter Reading Club-- "Get Wrapped Up in Reading" are invited to attend the closing party featuring our friends from MUSIC FOR AARDVARKS on Sunday, February 4th at 2:00 pm.  This event is a live, foot-stomping, hand-clapping interactive music show for the whole family.  Just come on down and meet us at the library for an afternoon of musical entertainment.  All Winter Reading Club participants will receive a certificate and a goody-bag of prizes!
